French Porcelain Empire style vase set "Sevres"
French Porcelain Empire style vase set "Sevres"
Definition.
Very nice set of 3 porcelain vases made in 19th century in France by the famous porcelain factory Sevres.
The set of vases is made of fine porcelain, after which they were painted by hand.
The images on the vases show Roman gods/figures on one side. The other side of the vases is painted with flowers.
The vases have a base glaze of burgundy and beige. Extra accents were added with gold paint.
The vases bear the mark N with crown at the bottom, as well as France and Fait main.
This N with crown is assigned to Sèvres porcelain.
Very exceptional is that this 3 couple is still together. Usually you will only find the 2 vases but no longer the jardiniere, which consists of 2 parts and was quickly broken.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique porcelain.
