2 rare French opaline vases “Chinoise” “Portieux”
2 rare French opaline vases “Chinoise” 19th century “Portieux”
Definition.
These rare fume-colored vases were made in France at the end of the 19th- begin 20th century by the famous glass factory Portieux.
The vases are made of blown fume-colored opaline glass in a wooden mold.
They are completely inspired by Chinese motifs. For example, we see a Monik holding Bambou.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
