Definition.
Beautiful barbotine soup tureen, made at the end of the 19th century in Belgium by Wasmuel.
The bowl is made of cast ceramic in a mold, after which they were painted by hand and finished with a glaze.
These objects are also called Barbotine or Majolica.
At the bottom you will find the manufacturer’s mark.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique ceramic.
