19th century crystal flacon “Saint Louis”
19th century crystal flacon “Saint Louis”
Definition.
Very nice crystal flacon, made in at the end of the 19th century in France.
This rare flacon is mouth blown from clear crystal, after which a layer of cobalt bleu crystal is applied over it. During the finish, part of the bleu crystal is then cut away so that beautiful geometric figures appear. These, in turn, give a beautiful sparkle in the light.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
