Majolica piggy bank in the shape of a Snail

Definition.
The snail is made in earthenware with a typical majolica glaze.
It was made at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
The snail has a slot at the top to insert coins.
There is no opening at the bottom, as the intention used to be to break the rooster if you wanted to use your savings.
