4 antique Champagne/flutes glasses “Caton”
4 antique Champagne/flutes glasses “Caton”
Definition.
4 beautiful Champagne glasses made in the 19th century in France.
The glasses are made of mouth-blown glass, with a crystal content to achieve a more beautiful shine.
The crystal at the beginning of the 19th century was not yet as pure as what we know today.
The glasses have a very tight straight chalice, around which surfaces are cut.
The chalice of the glass is mounted on a stem with a thickening.
At the bottom of the foot you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
These are completely handmade, so they can differ in size and weight.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
