Belgian Black and gold art deco glass vase “De Rupel - Boom”

Definition.

This beautiful  art deco vase is made at the beginning of the 20th century in Belgium.

The vase is made of mouth-blown glass, at the bottom you can still see the cut of the blowpipe.

The vase has a very nice design with ridges and lines, that are colored with gold paint.

This lines are applied to the vase in the technique of cold painting. Because of this technique, the paint is sensitive to wear and tear.

Very nice vase as decoration with a bouquet of flowers

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade art deco glassware.
