Clear Art Deco aperitif platter VSL-Luxval “Cotes plates”

Definition.

Very beautiful aperitif platter, made in the first part of the 20th century in Belgium, by the famous crystal factory “Val Saint Lambert”.

The aperitif platter is made of cast and pressed glass, with a crystal content to achieve a more beautiful shine.

An alloy of glass and crystal was Luxval's trademark.

Luxval was a department of Val Saint Lambert that mainly made objects for the set table.

The aperitif platter is called "Cotes plates" and is characterized by its simple design and sleek round shapes.

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade art deco glassware.
