French 19th century crystal candlesticks "Portieux - Vallerysthal"
Definition.
Beautiful antique glass candle holders, made in the late 19th century by the famous French crystal factory Portieux - Vallerysthal
These are made of cast glass with a crystal content to obtain a more beautiful shine.
Be careful, in the 19th century the crystal was not as clear as we see today.
The candle holders have a very sleek shape that is reminiscent of the Roman columns.
Portieux was one of the most famous French crystal manufacturers alongside Baccarat and Saint Louis.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for antique glassware over 100 years old.
