2 French crystal carafes
2 French crystal carafes
Definition.
2 Beautiful crystal decanters, which were made at the beginning of the 20th century in France.
These square-shaped decanters are made of mouth-blown crystal, which gives them a beautiful shine.
After blowing, the carafe are very finely ground with diamond motifs.
We mainly encounter this pattern in Baccarat crystal work.
At the 19th century catalogue we found this pattern under the name “Forme 8468, jambe Taillée pied étoile”.
The neck and cap of the decanter are numbered. This only happened at the better crystal houses.
The cap is still original with the carafe.
The decanters are in beautiful condition and can be used perfectly for a liqueur.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
