French porcelain Mary / Madonna figurine “Vieux Paris”
Definition.
Very beautiful Mary figurine made in the middle of the 19th century in France.
It is made of cast porcelain in a mold, after which it is colored by hand.
Vieux paris was a group of very experienced porcelain foundries in the Paris region.
The statue has an opening at the back where originally a canopy cross stood.
Given its age, a small trace of use may be present.
