11 crystal wine /port glasses Val Saint Lambert "Gunther"

Definition.

11 beautiful port /wine glasses, made at the end of the 19th century in Belgium.

The glasses are made of mouth-blown crystal, giving them a nice shine and sound.

The glasses have a very nice balloon shape.
The blown balloon is mounted on a sharpened stem with an air bubble in the stem.
This air bubble provides an extra shine to the light on the glass.

At the bottom of the foot you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.

The glasses belong to the "Gunther" tableware series.

NOTE: This glass was in the 19th century the  wine glass, now we use it as a port glass.

The crystal in the 19th century was also not as clear as we know it today.

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
