Definition.
The rooster is made in earthenware with a typical majolica glaze.
It was made at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
The rooster has a slot at the top to insert coins.
There is no opening at the bottom, as the intention used to be to break the rooster if you wanted to use your savings.
It is exceptional that this rooster is still in good condition, despite some chips from the glaze.
