Antique French jug (1850)

Definition.

This rare jug was made in the 19th century, by one of the famous French glassworkers.

The jug is made of mouth-blown glass with lead, this is the old crystal.

At the bottom you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.

This beautiful convex jug is perfect for storing a wine, cidre or some other drink.

Very nice unique item for the collectors.

Please note:

This one is completely handmade, so the shape is not perfect.

In the 18th and early 19th centuries, the crystal was not as pure as what we know today.

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
