6 antique wine / port glasses “gondole - Gravé” 19th century
Definition.
6 beautiful wine / port glasses, made at the end of the 19th century in France.
The glasses are made of mouth-blown glass, with a crystal content to achieve a more beautiful shine.
The glasses have a beautiful convex shape and are finished with engraved garlands around the glass.
At the bottom of the foot you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
These glasses can be found in the early Baccarat catalogue under "Gondole" glasses.
In the 19th century this was a wine glass, now we use it more as a port glass.
These are completely handmade, so they can vary in size and weight.
The set consists of 3 wine and 3 port glasses.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
