French 19th century biscuit box
French 19th century biscuit box
Definition.
Very beautiful biscuit tin, made at the 19th century in France, possible by baccarat or legras
The cookie jar has a very nice shape and is made of blown glass, with a crystal content to obtain a purer color.
The glass is treated with the acid technique, which gives you a nice frost effect.
After this, beautiful figures were cut around the jar in Olive shape.
At the bottom you can still see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
The biscuit jar is closed with a tin lid and handle.
It is beautifully decorated with decorations typical of the 19th century.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
