French clear crystal vase “Saint Louis”
French clear crystal vase “Saint Louis”
Definition.
This vase was made in the middle of the 20th century in France.
It is made of mouth-blown clear crystal. During the finishing, part of the crystal is then cut away so that beautiful geometric figures are created. These, in turn, give a nice sparkle in the light.
Saint Louis uses high lead crystal. This means that at least 33% lead oxide (PbO) is used, more than the statutory 24%. This greatly benefits the quality: The crystal can be processed finer, the degree of brilliance is a lot greater and the crystal is clearer than ever.
This is an absolute masterpiece in terms of glassware and crystal.

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade vintage glassware.
