Crown Devon:
Crown Devon Pottery began life as S. Fielding & Co. Simon Fielding took over the railway works at Stoke-on-Trent in 1878 and began making pottery. Early pottery such as the Fielding 'Majolica' established S. Fielding & Co's position in the market
From 1921 the name Crown Devon was introduced and the Railway Works was renamed the Devon Pottery.
Although the factory in Crown Devon closed its doors in 1982, the beautiful figurines, finely decorated lustreware and musical beer mugs are still highly sought after and collected today.
