Belgian Val Saint Lambert carafe “Sadi Carnot Guilloché”
Belgian Val Saint Lambert carafe “Sadi Carnot Guilloché”
Definition.
Beautiful mouth-blown crystal carafe, made at the end of the 19th century – begin 20th century in Belgium.
At the bottom of the carafe you can still see the cut of the blowpipe.
During the finishing process, a geometric figure is then engraved around the decanter by hand.
This carafe belongs to the tableware line: “Sadi Carnot Guilloché”
The decanter has a nice convex shape, so you can use it for a liqueur or wine.
Please note that the crystal from the 19th century is not as pure as what we know today.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
