Definition.
This beautiful art deco plate is made at the first part of the 20th century in Belgium.
The amber colored bowl is made of cast glass with a crystal content, to obtain a more beautiful shine.
The bowl has a beautiful round shape and is beautifully decorated in the middle.
This bowl belongs to the rare tableware series of Val Saint Lambert, the Candide.
The glass bowl is mounted in a metal ironwork consisting of roses and leaves.
This ironwork may have been designed by the Belgian blacksmith "Van Boeckel 1857-1944". He is world famous for its art deco ironwork, mainly with flowers.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade art deco glassware.
