9 Baccarat Crystal glasses “ Cylindrique - Côtes plates” anno 1880
Definition.
9 beautiful wine / port / liqueur glasses, made at the second part of the 19th century in France.
The glasses are made of mouth-blown crystal, giving them a nice shine and sound.
The glasses are mounted on a teardrop-shaped stem and are cut with surfaces, this technique is called: Côtes plates
At the bottom of the foot you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
These glasses belong to the Baccarat tableware series “ Cylindrique - Côtes plates”
In the 19th century this was a wine glass, now we use it more as a port or liqueur glass.
These are completely handmade, so they can differ in size and weight.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
