6 crystal wine glasses “Tulip – Côtes Creuses” 19th century “Baccarat”
Definition.
6 beautiful wine / port glasses, made at the middle of the 19th century in France.
The glasses are made of mouth-blown crystal, giving them a nice shine and sound.
The glasses have a beautiful tulip shape and are cut with surfaces, this we call “Côtes Creuses”
The chalice of the glass is mounted on a teardrop-shaped stem.
At the bottom of the foot you can see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
These glasses belong to the Baccarat tableware series “Tulip”
In the 19th century this was a wine glass, now we use it more as a port glass.
These are completely handmade, so they can differ in size and weight.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
