French 19th century biscuit box "Legras & cie"
French 19th century biscuit box "Legras & cie"
Definition.
Very beautiful green biscuit tin, made at the 19th century in France.
The cookie jar has a very beautiful green-blue color and is made of mouth-blown crystal.
At the bottom you can still see the cut-off of the blowpipe.
The cookie jar is finished at the top with a silver-plated rim and handle.
It is beautifully decorated with decorations typical of the 19th century.
Crystal from the 19th century is not as pure as the crystal we know today.
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
