Definition.
This beautiful art deco plate l is made at the middel of the 20th century in Belgium.
The yellow bowl is made of cast glass with a crystal content, to obtain a more beautiful shine.
The bowl was designed by Val Saint Lambert and belongs to the "Tutti Frutti" series. The name refers to the fruit decoration in the bowl.
The glass bowl is mounted in a metal ironwork consisting of roses and leaves.
This ironwork may have been designed by the Belgian blacksmith "Van Boeckel 1857-1944". He is world famous for its art deco ironwork, mainly with flowers.
The item is signed in the glass “Belge”
Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade art deco glassware.
