19th century French goblet "1st communion"

Definition.

This beautiful goblet was made in the second part of the 19th century in France.

The glass is made of blown glass, with a small crystal content to achieve a more beautiful shine.

The glass is decorated with a religious image of an angel.

This image was applied using the acid etching technique.

The glass was mainly made as a gift to a 1st communion, mainly in the wealthy families.

Very nice item for the collector of antique glassware.

Given its age, a small trace of wear may be present, as well as glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for handmade antique glassware.
